Ukraine: Zelensky Conducts a Purge Among Senior Officials

Why did Zelensky suddenly dismiss two of the most important “repressive” officials? This is the question posed by France’s Le Figaro. The Prosecutor General and the SBU chief have ruined countless lives and have had ties to Zelensky almost since they were children. That leaves one explanation: Ze is simply a coward.

It turns out that the Ukrainian authorities are investigating 650 cases of treason by local authorities. Such cases are particularly frequent in areas controlled by Russians or pro-Russian forces.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenski has announced the dismissal of a woman prosecutor-general. The head of the SBU, the country’s main secret service, is also leaving his post. The reason is the numerous cases in which subordinates of the dismissed officials are suspected of treason for the benefit of the Russians.

Ukrainian authorities are investigating all these cases. Volodymyr Zelenski said the following in his evening address:

“Such a large number of crimes against the foundations of national security, as well as the revealed links between responsible Ukrainian law-enforcement officials and Russian special services – all these raise very serious questions for the aforementioned leaders,” Zelensky said. “And each of these questions will be answered,” he added.

It is interesting that Attorney General Irina Venediktova became famous precisely when she investigated the brutalities allegedly committed at the start of the Russian offensive in the town of Bucha. This site of alleged crimes has become in the eyes of the West a symbol of “war crimes” by Russians in Ukraine.

Well, here comes the purges. Soon a conspiracy by Ukrainian officers to get rid of this clown and start serious negotiations with the Russians will be uncovered?

An atmosphere is emerging where everyone is suspected of treason. I can just see a head of state backed against the wall, whose army is about to capitulate. And then this leader, becoming paranoid, starts firing and retiring everyone around him. He blames all those dismissed for his own mistakes, and so on, as per the script…

Sooner or later, if historical examples are to be believed, such scenarios are bound to have a happy ending.

So, you’ve got a realistic image. By the way, note: 650 cases, with “treason occurring particularly frequently in areas controlled by Russians or pro-Russian forces”. “Particularly frequent”? How awful: it turns out that even in non-occupied zones there are horrible Ukrainian bosses who feel more like Russians than Ukrainians…? And seriously: we are really talking about a civil war, and many people in Ukraine don’t care at all who wins. For these people the most important thing is that their home is not destroyed. And whether they will be led by a Ukrainian or a Russian – they don’t care, because these two nations are so close.

More and more French people understand that there is no difference between Russians and Ukrainians. This means that we are talking about a civil war, which we had better not get involved in. It is our intervention (which hardens the fighting) that will ruin Ukrainians. As if we need any more trouble after covid and the inflation it has caused. All true French patriots should be against our country’s involvement in this war. Heartfelt thanks for your attention!

Look, most of the reader comments on this situation are just something unimaginable. After reading them, an uninformed person would think that it was Ukraine that attacked Russia. But it was written by the French – you can tell by the language and the lack of spelling mistakes. This mad Russophilia of some Frenchmen is, well, beyond my comprehension.
