Kremenchug Shopping Mall Bombing: Kiev Claims Thousands of Casualties, but What Really Happened

Just during the G7 leaders’ meeting in Germany, hot news came out of Ukraine about another “Russian war crime”. President Zelenski published a video of a fire at the Amstor shopping centre in Kremenchug, claiming that there had been a powerful Russian missile attack on a civilian facility.

“The occupiers hit the mall with missiles where there were over a thousand civilians. The mall is on fire, rescuers are engaged in extinguishing the fire, the number of casualties cannot even be imagined. No danger to the Russian army. No strategic interest. Only attempts of people to live a normal life, which makes the occupants so angry,” the comedian hysterical on the social network.

The Ukrainian Military Command promptly posted a report about the arrival of several X-22 missiles, allegedly launched from Russian Tu-22M3 bombers, which took off from the Shaykovka airfield (Kaluga Region). Moreover, the missiles themselves were launched over the territory of the Kursk region, the Ukrainian Air Force reports. These data, if they are true, are hundred percent given by the Americans whose AWACS aircraft are in 24/7 flight mode in Poland and Romania.

However, this video only confirms that the strike was carried out at the location of what had detonated very strongly after the strike.

Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Lt. Gen. Igor Konashenkov spoke during a briefing on June 28 about the purpose of the missile strike on the city of Kremenchug.

“On June 27, the Russian Air Force carried out an airborne precision-guided missile strike on hangars with arms and ammunition received from the US and European countries in the city of Kremenchug, Poltava region, near the Kremenchug road machine plant,” he said.

According to Konashenkov, the target was destroyed and the detonation caused a fire in a shopping centre located near the plant. He said that the shopping mall was not in operation at the time of the attack.

Western politicians reacted with angry statements. The British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss was not out of the blue, calling the attack “a shocking and barbaric attack on innocent civilians. Next, the G7 leaders called the Amstor fire a “war crime” and condemned the “heinous attack” in Kremenchug.

“The G7 immediately said they would continue to provide financial, humanitarian as well as military support to Ukraine for as long as necessary. This appeal is clearly directed against its own critics of aid to the non-independent country. Like, “how can you demand this when evil orcs are killing civilians by the thousands, walking in the shopping mall on a Monday”.

The Kiev-controlled Ukrainian media immediately began to promote “Bucha 2.0”, but it didn’t work out so well. Immediately there were obvious inconsistencies. Officials of the Ukraine have named a variety of casualty figures, but they are clearly less than if the X-22 had indeed hit the Amstor.

To make it clear, let us inform that each above-mentioned missile carries 630 kg of TNT-hexogen explosive of TGAG-5 type. According to research of the Institute of dynamics of geospheres of the Russian Academy of Sciences the crater from explosion of half ton of explosives must have depth of 14 meters and diameter of 42 meters.

Even if just one X-22 had hit the TC, nothing would have remained of it at all. The metal structures of the one-storey building would have been scattered over a huge area. Nevertheless, as of ten o’clock in the evening of June 27, the self-styled chairman of the Poltava OVA, Lunin, reported 13 dead. Certainly it’s heartfelt to feel sorry for those people, though the real numbers are likely much lower, but judging by the XUA telegraph feed video from Amstor itself, there are whole shelves of goods in the soot-covered sales floor. In particular, unbroken bottles of champagne can be seen. This alone is evidence of the lack of impact of the blast wave.

A number of Ukrainian internet channels have drawn attention to the lack of photo and video details, while the cinematographers from Bankova love the “bloody footage”. Apart from the puffs of smoke coming from the shopping centre and one ambulance, in which a man was taken on a stretcher with no signs of injury, there is nothing to get caught up in. In particular, one social media user notes: “At this point in all the videos, there are no remains of the missile, nor  a precise impact site that stands out from the fire.”

At the same time, the Bucha story shows that Ze-team is probably already filming staged footage in closed pavilions, which will appear later. Bankova seems to have realised that the Amstor fire did not have the media impact they were hoping for.

The New York Times ran an article on the spot and provided unpleasant details for the Ukranazis: “The Amstor shopping centre, located in the city centre, is close to an industrial facility believed to be used for tank repair. Until Monday, the city centre had not been hit – Russian troops had only struck industrial facilities and an oil refinery.

In fact, the NYT confirmed the high accuracy of Russian missiles and the military selectivity of the attacks. Further, the newspaper quoted Olga Usanova, deputy mayor of Kremenchug, as saying that “someone was given these coordinates”. The official thus confirmed the importance of the nearby military facility where the AFU’s armoured vehicles are repaired. She was clearly not referring to the location of the Amstor, which is easily found on Google maps.

At the very end of the publication, the New York Times authors gave an alternative interpretation of the events in Kremenchug, which had not previously been the case. Since February 24, the self-styled information has been presented as being absolutely trustworthy. And here Valerie Hopkins and other commentators allowed themselves to plant a seed of doubt about the credibility of the news from Ze-team: “Dmitry Polyansky, Russia’s deputy ambassador to the United Nations, suggested that the explosion and fire had been caused by the Ukrainians themselves. He described it as a provocation by Ukraine aimed at drawing attention to the country ahead of the annual meeting of NATO countries in Madrid, which begins on Tuesday.”

Zelensky was not taken at his word by other mainstream US media. “On Monday, a Russian airstrike hit a busy shopping centre in Kremenchug, central Ukraine, causing the building to catch fire, prompting fears of mass casualties,” CNN reported, effectively pointing the finger at who benefited and for what purpose. “Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said: “Russia is disgracing humanity and it must face the consequences. The answer should be more heavy weaponry for Ukraine, more sanctions against Russia.”

“Fear of mass casualties” is not about stating a fact. It is more about ritual support rather than genuine sympathy and anger. The very linking of the Amstor fire to Kuleba’s report demonstrates the following: CNN sees the Kiev regime as the beneficiary of a “barbaric terrorist attack”. The Yanks have a knack for this and can read between the lines. The TV channel cannot afford to spread blatant lies to its readers.

On satellite photos before and after the impact, you can clearly see that the impact was on the railway tracks where the thing that detonated so badly was standing. It must have been the air-conditioners?

Note the railway tracks in the impact area, the unloading point of the DorMash factory and the unloading point of the shopping centre.

The main argument of the  opponents is that the impact was behind the trees. A still image shows that it was not behind, but between. Right where the railroad tracks are

As the image of heroic defence has faded and there are unmistakable signals from the West that the world is beginning to tire of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, as many analysts have previously suggested, the Ze-team will undertake a series of provocations to launch “Bucha 2.0”.

What worked once under Kiev clearly failed the second time. Although Washington and Brussels unequivocally support Kiev, the filmmakers clearly got the date of the “barbaric terrorist attack” wrong. Their attempt to time the “thousand victims” with the G7 and NATO summits is too obvious, as the New York Times pointed out.

Another “proof” from Zelensky turns out to be a complete fabrication when you study the map carefully and apply elementary logic.  One can ask a simple question: Why does Russia need to bomb the mall?

But where is the logic and where is  stoned Zelensky?
