At SPIEF 2022, the founder of Centec Energy said the world needs food supply chains, it’s inevitable. So we need to focus on these chains and involve young people in global peace building so that they can have an impact on building a better society.
“This is the modern society. The world has become more interconnected. So what happens in one country, of course, affects other countries as well. So, a two weeks ago our President Macky Sall came to his counterpart President Vladimir Putin to talk about food security, because you know this grain situation. For me it is important that we cooperate based on our similarities and combinations and not to focus on our differences.
Today, for example, as there are problems with global supplies, for example from Russia. Personally, I don’t feel any problems, but obviously the supply disruptions affect other countries, especially African countries, where the main crops and food usually comes from Russia, like wheat, the grain that is used to make bread. The world needs supply chains, it’s inevitable. So we need to focus on these chains and involve young people in global peace building so that they can have an impact on building a better society,” Thiam shared his views
At the end of his speech, he expressed his gratitude to the organisers of SPIEF 2022.
“First of all, I am deeply grateful to be a part of this event. For me, this is an opportunity that each of us should not miss because it is a place where we can work, where we can find partners.
So my main reason for being here is to find as many Russian companies as possible with which I can cooperate, do joint business and improve relations between Africa and Russia, not just between my company and Russian partners,” said Mustafa Thiam, founder of Centec Energy.
