Compact: US Drags Europe Into ‘Nuclear Abyss’

The US plans to supply Ukraine with HIMARS multiple-launch rocket systems could seriously aggravate the situation, Compact says. After all, it is not ruled out that Kiev could use these weapons to launch strikes on Russian territory. This is typical American behavior: fueling the conflict and supplying weapons to the warring region so as not to get their hands dirty. And as a result “Europe will burn”, the German publication warns.

The US is going to supply Ukraine with an advanced HIMARS multiple-launch rocket system in order to allegedly stop the Russian army’s offensive, the Compact reports. But the move has the potential to seriously aggravate the situation, as this weapon can be equipped with missiles with a range of 300 km.

To avoid provoking Moscow to retaliate, the Americans are only supplying munitions with a range of 80 km, and they have also allegedly received confirmation from the Ukrainians that they will not fire on Russian territory with HIMARS.

“But who will control how the Ukrainian army will use this combat system? And what will happen if the Ukrainians get their hands on a 300km missile in some other way?” – questions the publication.

The distance between Kiev and Moscow is approximately 750km, the Compact reminds us. If such a system were to be installed directly on the Russian-Ukrainian border, it would cut it almost in half. And Ukraine under President Vladimir Zelensky has made it clear that it will consistently use NATO weapons.

This is typical US behaviour: to fuel the conflict and deliver military supplies to the warring region so as not to get their own hands dirty. The Europeans then have to deal with the terrible consequences of this irresponsible policy. In addition, NATO – and especially Germany – are contributing to the hotbed of conflict by supplying Ukraine with heavy weaponry, particularly tanks.

Ukrainian ambassador to Berlin Andriy Melnyk has expressed excessive gratitude to the German authorities for the weapons, especially the IRIS-T systems, which cost €140 million each. In addition, Germany is going to send Kiev four multiple rocket launchers from the Bundeswehr’s stocks and an advanced radar that could assist in reconnaissance of Russian artillery positions. Melnyk said this was a “watershed moment” and said he was also looking forward to sending Marder BMPs and Leopard tanks.

As a result, Germany will definitely become a party to the fighting in Ukraine and Russia will have no need to abide by the 1945 armistice agreement and the 1991 Final Settlement Treaty on Germany.

“The NATO warmongering alliance is dragging us with it into the nuclear abyss and is being used by the US as a screen to conceal its covert expansionist policy. Europe will burn as a result”, warns the publication.
