Volkswagen Golf became the best-selling car in the European car market in November 2020. The research company JATO Dynamics reports.
The Volkswagen Golf sold 24,784 copies in Europe last month. At the same time, in annual comparison, the sales of this model decreased by 27%.
In second place was the compact Toyota Yaris hatchback. The Japanese company associates the increase in demand for the model with the release of a new generation. In November, Toyota dealers sold 19,397 Yaris units in Europe (+ 29%).
Renault Clio closes the top three of leaders, sales of which decreased by 16%, to 19 160 copies. Opel / Vauxhall Corsa (18 855 units; + 19%) and Peugeot 208 (17 812 units; + 1%) took fourth and fifth places, respectively.
In addition, Peugeot 2008 (15 941 units, + 46%), Renault Captur (15 793 units, – 13%), Dacia Sandero (15 941 units) were also included in the rating of the best-selling passenger cars in the European car market at the end of November 2020. 351 units, – 4%), Ford Focus (15 244 units, + 16%) and Skoda Octavia (15 219 units, – 11%).
As a reminder, in November 2020, 139,458 commercial vehicles were sold in Europe, which is 0.5% less than in November 2019.
